No surprises, just clear information about my fees.
Fees
Therapy is an investment in yourself, and I believe in being upfront and transparent about costs. My session rates reflect the care, expertise, and personalized approach I bring to our work together.
Session Fees
50-minutes: $210.00
80-minutes: $315.00
These rates are slightly less than the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta’s recommended fee schedule. I aim to provide therapy services that reflect both the quality of care I offer and a commitment to fair pricing.
Psychologist Fees and Coverage
In Alberta, fees for psychological services are not covered by Alberta Health Care. However, many extended health benefit plans through employers or private insurance do offer coverage for therapy sessions with a registered psychologist.
If you’re unsure about your coverage, I recommend checking with your provider to see how much coverage is available per session or annually.
Payment Information
Payments are processed directly through the Jane app using Visa, Mastercard, or Visa Debit.

Sliding Scale
Sliding scale therapy, or reduced fee therapy, is my way of making mental health care accessible for people who are struggling financially. These spots are typically reserved for existing clients from marginalized communities. If you’re a current client and believe you may qualify, please feel free to discuss this option with me during a session.
When thinking about eligibility for reduced fee services, I use the concept of sacrifice versus hardship, inspired by Alexis J. Cunningfolk’s work. If you’re financially stable (i.e., able to pay your bills, save, and afford extras like hobbies, dining out, or travel) and paying for therapy would mean cutting back on extras but still being able to meet your basic needs, that’s a sacrifice - a thoughtful choice to prioritize your mental health. However, if paying for therapy would mean you can’t afford rent, groceries, or transportation to work, that’s a hardship—and sliding scale therapy is designed for those experiencing hardship.
These policies are about ensuring fairness, transparency, and sustainability. Sliding scale therapy is a thoughtful balance between meeting the needs of my clients in financial hardship and maintaining the resources to continue providing care.
